Seguin, Texas — The Guadalupe Appraisal District (GAD) will have three At-Large Board of Directors positions — Place 1, Place 2 and Place 3 — on the November 3, 2026 general election ballot. The candidate filing period will run from July 18 through August 17, 2026, closing at 5 p.m.
Candidates must file an application (Form 2-49) with the Guadalupe County Clerk or the Guadalupe County Elections Administrator, and must indicate whether they are running for Place 1, Place 2 or Place 3.
Sec 6.0302 of the Texas Tax Code requires a candidate for an appointive or elective position on the board of directors of an appraisal district, whose term begins on or after Jan. 1, 2026, to acknowledge that they have read and understand the duties of a member of the board of directors of an appraisal district. The individual must sign the acknowledgement (Form 2-68) and submit the signed acknowledgement to the chief appraiser of the appraisal district. An individual may not file an application for a place on the ballot for an elective position on the board of directors of an appraisal district unless the individual has signed the acknowledgement and submitted the acknowledgement to the chief appraiser of the district.
